Beauty of the Butterfly

Little butterfly, fly, fly away.

The sky is blue,

Just for you.

The wind is gentle,

But carries you through.

Up in the clouds where the heavens are.

Where God will meet you

Where life never ends.

Where the sky never darkens, without honey to sweeten the amber sunsets.

Out of spring comes your blossoms.

Out of summer comes your sun.

Out of autumn comes your coat made of scraps of cloth you have wrung.

In winter you come home, where a chimney holds a fire on blackened stone.

You wait by my side so patiently.

Each place you land is blessed.

In each heart you bless hope rests.

Muddy my name, but my heart shall remain.

Until another voice is calling my name.
